Dow Roofing Systems Warranty Information

A Dow Roofing Systems Limited Warranty is a written agreement between the building owner and Dow Roofing Systems requiring Dow Roofing Systems to repair any leaks in the Dow Roofing System subject to the Warranty's clearly defined terms, conditions and limitations. Dow Roofing Systems presently offers three basic types of warranties in standard or no-dollar-limit (NDL) versions, to meet the owner's particular needs, as summarized below.

Dow Roofing Systems warranties are available with terms from five to twenty years long with the length depending upon the type of warranty, installation and the use of the building and site.

The term of the Warranty generally commences with the date of substantial completion of the Dow Roofing Systems installation.

A modest fee is charged for Dow Roofing Systems warranties based on the size and type of installation and the type of warranty requested.

Among the requirements of the Warranty, leaks must be reported in writing to Dow Roofing Systems within thirty days. The Warranty also contains some exclusions, such as those based on natural disasters such as lightning, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes and peak wind gust speeds greater than the specific limit set forth in the Warranty. Please note that Dow Roofing Systems' total financial obligation under the Warranty is limited to the owner's original cost of the installed Dow Roofing System unless a NDL Warranty had been requested and approved.

Dow Roofing Systems offers three basic types of warranties. They are available in Standard or NDL (no-dollar-limit) versions, as described below:

Material (Membrane Only) Limited Warranty

This Warranty addresses the cost of replacing Dow Roofing Systems membrane in the event of the failure of the installed Dow Roofing Systems membrane to withstand the effects of weather due to normal wear and tear. The Warranty obligates Dow Roofing Systems to furnish replacement material in the affected area prorated for service to the date of the claim. The Warranty does not include installation or removal costs.

Limited Warranty (Material and Labor)

This Warranty provides that Dow Roofing Systems will repair any leaks occurring in the Dow Roofing System, which includes Dow Roofing Systems membrane, Dow Roofing Systems adhesives, Dow Roofing Systems fasteners, Dow Roofing Systems termination bars, and other materials provided by Dow Roofing Systems, subject to the terms, conditions, and limitations described on the Warranty.

The Standard Material & Labor Warranty assures that Dow Roofing Systems will restore the roof to a leak-free condition, replacing any Dow Roofing Systems membrane or other Dow Roofing Systems-supplied materials found to be defective, up to the original cost of the membrane.
The No-Dollar-Limit (NDL) Material and Labor Warranty assures that Dow Roofing Systems will restore the roof to a leak-free condition, replacing any Dow Roofing Systems membrane or other Dow Roofing Systems-supplied materials found to be defective, with no stated limit on the replacement cost.

Dow Roofing Systems Total System Limited Warranty

This Warranty provides that Dow Roofing Systems will repair any leaks occurring in the Dow Roofing Systems Total Roofing System, which includes Dow Roofing Systems membrane, Dow Roofing Systems Edge Metal Systems, insulation, Dow Roofing Systems adhesives, Dow Roofing Systems fasteners, Dow Roofing Systems insulation plates, Dow Roofing Systems termination bars, Dow Roofing Systems pavers, and other material provided by Dow Roofing Systems, subject to the terms, conditions, and limitations described in the Warranty.

The Standard Total System Warranty assures that Dow Roofing Systems will restore the roof to a leak-free condition, replacing any Dow Roofing Systems membrane or other Dow Roofing Systems-supplied or approved materials found to be defective, up to the original cost of the membrane.
The No-Dollar-Limit (NDL) Material and Labor Warranty assures that Dow Roofing Systems will restore the roof to a leak-free condition, replacing any Dow Roofing Systems membrane or other Dow Roofing Systems-supplied materials found to be defective, with no stated limit on the replacement cost.
