TERMICO™ Polyisocyanurate Insulation is a closed-cell, HCFC-free high-performance polyisocyanurate foam core laminated to heavy black (nonasphaltic) fiber-reinforced felt facers. Providing energy-efficient performance in a variety of roofing applications, TERMICO™ Polyisocyanurate Insulation can be mechanically attached, mopped with ASTM D312 Type III or Type IV hot asphalt or adhered with roofing adhesives from Dow Roofing Systems. It is approved for use over steel, wood, concrete and gypsum roof deck constructions and is compatible with all TIEMPO™+ 2000 TPO and VIENTO™ PVC membranes.
Building Code Compliance
Complies with ASTM C1289 Type II, Class 1 and CAN/ULC S704, Type 2, Class 2. FM Approved (4450/4470) from 1-60 to 1-270, depending upon attachment method. Meets UL Class A approval requirements and "P" classifications for fire resistance.

(1) Not all product sizes are available in all regions. (2) R means resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value or RSI (R-Value Système International), the greater the insulating power. R-values are expressed in ft2•h•°F/Btu. RSI values are expressed in m2° C/W. R-value determined by ASTM C518. (3) Vertical compressive strength is measured at 10% deformation (5% for STYROFOAM™ Brand PLAZAMATE™ Insulation and for STYROFOAM™ Brand HIGHLOAD 40, 60 and 100 Insulation products) or at yield, whichever occurs first. Since STYROFOAM™ Brand Extruded Polystyrene Foam and Dow polyisocyanurate insulation products are visco-elastic materials, adequate design safety factors should be used to prevent long-term creep. For static loads, 3:1 is suggested. For dynamic loads, 5:1 is suggested. |
