With more than 40 years of service worldwide, single-ply polyvinyl chloride (PVC) roofing membrane has clearly proven its versatility, quality and low life cycle costs. The unique chemical makeup of PVC roofing membrane makes it easy to apply year-round in all climates. A key benefit of PVC membrane is that it stays weldable for its entire service life, making any necessary repairs easy and strong. PVC roofing membrane is ideally suited for new construction and re-roofing applications.

PVC roofing membrane is used to create energy-efficient cool roofs that reflect nearly 90% of the sun's heat, helping to lower a building's HVAC load and energy costs.

VIENTO™ PVC membranes from Dow Roofing Systems are scrim-reinforced, premium roofing membranes based on Elvaloy ketone ethylene ester (KEE) from DuPont that meet requirements ASTM D4434-04 Standard Specification for PVC-based roofing membranes. VIENTO™ PVC membranes are manufactured using a proprietary compound that fully encapsulates the reinforcing scrim. Elvaloy KEE is a high-molecular weight, non-migrating polymer that helps the membranes maintain their flexibility, appearance and color after installation and exposure to the elements.
